In 2007, the University of Ljubljana again ranked among the 500 best universities in the world, earning a place in the top 3-4% of universities out of the total of 16,000 universities included in the comparison.

The University of Ljubljana is listed in the 2007 Times Chart.
WEBOMETRICS
The University of Ljubljana ranks 124th among the European universities or in the top three percent – as the best ranking Slovenian university. For comparison, the Jožef Stefan Institute ranks 105th or in the top 15 % of research institutes in Europe.
