In June, the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ljubljana will host Paul Marer, a professor at the CEU Business School in Budapest and a distinguished professor of the Kelly School of Business of the University of Indiana.
In his long career he has written or edited 24 monographs and 150 articles and chapters in monographs. In his research he has focused mainly on changes in the economic, political and business environments in Hungary as well as the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and China. In 2016, he published a book titled Missing Link Discovered: Integrating Csikszentmihalyi’s Flow Theory into Management and Leadership Practice, co-authored by Zoltan Buzady and Zad Vecsey.
The flow theory will be the topic of the research seminar, held at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ljubljana on Tuesday, 13 June 2017, beginning at 1 p.m. Prof. Marer will discuss the role of flow in the business environment and present the skills and values essential for the managers and all those who would like to apply flow-promoting leadership. He will also take us through a business game, linked to this flow and which he developed in the last decade with the help of a group of researchers who include Prof. Csikszentmihalyi, the founder of the flow theory.
