As they do every year, the United Nation Association of Slovenia awarded prizes for the best undergraduate, master and doctoral theses discussing topics regarding the United Nations.
The president of the association, prof. Bojko Bučar, had this to say in his introductory address: “Choosing the best theses is harder every year, as we encounter more and more excellent theses – we are really glad about this development. We would like to thank all the participating candidates, their mentors and families. In addition to the regular prizes, this year we have awarded a special prize to a thesis exploring the history of our association.”
The honorary guest speech at the event was given by Mr. Janos Tisovszky, head of the United Nations Information Service (UNIS) in Vienna.
The committee of the United Nations Association of Slovenia that judged the theses received comprised Docent Dr. Milan Brglez, prof. Dr. Mirjam krk and Dr. Jožef Kunič.
Eight of the regular prizes and the special prize went to theses from the University of Ljubljana, a fact we are especially proud of. We warmly congratulate all the prize winners and their mentors!
