The Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of the University of Ljubljana heads the basic, applied and development research in the fields of chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering and technical safety while striving for excellence and the highest level of quality. Based on our own research achievements as well as those from joint cooperation, we aim to educate leading scientists and experts trained in management and the realisation of sustainable development, taking into account the legacy of the European Enlightenment and humanism as well as human rights. Our institution also disseminates our achievements in science and technology to other universities and research institutions at home and abroad, thus contributing its share to the global scope of knowledge and also bringing such knowledge into the national Slovenian space. Through our collaboration with the industry, we promote the application of our research and academic achievements to contribute to the development and progress of the country. The research, education and public engagement of our faculty is rooted in the standards of professional excellence and ensuring the highest possible quality, freedom of creativity and universal academic freedom of our staff and students.
