ESPON Info Day and Partner Café in Brussels, 10. Februar 2011, Bruselj

Dear Madam, dear Sir,

 In the framework of the upcoming Call for Proposals and Expression of Interests, the ESPON 2013 Programme would like to invite you to the Info Day on New Call and Partner Café, which will take place on 10 February 2011 in Brussels. At the event the European Commission and the Hungarian EU Presidency will present the policy demand behind the need for further ESPON results.

For this event ESPON will bring together all potential beneficiaries to present the upcoming Call and to assist them in preparing proposals.

It is suitable for researchers, scientists, experts, universities, private companies, policy makers, representatives of public authorities at European, national, regional and local level of 31 European countries (EU 27 + Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland), who want to learn more about this opportunity to take part in ESPON projects. Participants will learn how to apply for funds to the ESPON 2013 Programme and meet potential partners.

The ESPON 2013 Programme is part-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, the EU Member States and the Partner States Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.

It shall support policy development in relation to the aim of territorial cohesion and a harmonious development of the European territory. ESPON shall support Cohesion Policy development with European wide, comparable information, evidence, analyses and scenarios on framework conditions for the development of regions, cities and larger territories. In doing so, it shall facilitate the mobilisation of territorial capital and development opportunities, contributing to improving European competitiveness, to the widening and deepening of European territorial cooperation and to a sustainable and balanced development.
