Project Proposal

Title: Optimising dew collection through materials and forms to provide water to plants and people in arid areas

Type Details: The proposal centres on the maximisation in the collection of dew to provide water for plants and people in arid areas. The project thus envisages the testing of materials and forms to optimise dew collection. Testing would be carried out using hydrophobic materials and to scale forms initially in dew chambers and then in situ in arid areas which have significant dew nights around the world. The proposer is a chartered landscape architect, PhD, teaching at University with expertise in desert areas.

Programme (Collaboration EU R&D): FP7-ENVIRONMENT

Expiry Date: 2012-05-23

Target Partner

Expertise: The required partner should have expertise in hydrophobic materials performance and material manipulation and/or have experience with dew chambers.
