Project Proposal


Title: Fuel cell based Combined Cooling Heating and Power (CCHP) system demonstration

Type Details: This project proposal is prepared according to the FHC-JU call 2011 topic SP1-JTI-FCH.2011.3.4

The main goal is to develop an economically and technologically feasible fuel cell based residential CCHP energy system with connection to electrical and thermal power grid

The objectives of the project are
* to develope a proof of concept prototype of fuel cell based CCHP system
* to identify means and ways to fulfill the requirements of market acceptance
* to evaluate the environmental impacts of such system with cradle to grave perspective
* to generate a dissemination plan for the results to the industry and research circles.

The project will also focus on developing and/or optimizing fuel cell subsystems for use in such CCHP systems (fuel cell, H2 storage, heat management system, thermally driven cooling system etc.).
