In the year 2005, the Chemnitz University of Technology has been selected by the Hertie Foundation for a special scholarship programme. This programme aims at supporting particularly gifted students, doctoral candidates and junior scientists in the disciplines of humanities, social sciences and economic sciences from Central and Eastern European countries.
