The programme offers students an advanced knowledge of Macro-economic analysis, Econometric methods and Philosophy of Economics. Students specialise by choosing a major. Students in the Major in Economic Policy will gain a deeper understanding of different areas of economic policy : labour economics, health economics, public finance, monetary economics, competition policy, transport, mobility and the environment. Students can also choose to specialise in research methodology . This group of students will be trained in quantitative methods such as multivariate data analysis, time series analysis, real options and game theory.

Graduates have excellent career prospects: most of our graduates find jobs within a few months after leaving the University of Antwerp. Masters in Economic Policy are found in the consultancy, banking and insurance sector as well as in industrial and commercial corporations. Graduates are also employed by governments, at both national and international levels. Research offers another career opportunity.

The programme is open to applicants holding a Bachelor’s degree in economics or related fields.
