The University of Ljubljana and all its members strive towards work of the highest quality, including with your help. To monitor the excellence of work, as well as the achievements and influence of the University of Ljubljana, we need data on various stakeholders, including our graduates. We therefore kindly ask you to carefully read about the purposes for which we use your data and consider whether you agree to such data processing. 

I am aware that the University of Ljubljana, Kongresni trg 12, SI-1000 Ljubljana, and its members will protect my personal data in line with:

• Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016,
• Personal Data Protection Act (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 94/07 – official consolidated version) and any other national law relating to personal data protection, and
• Rules on the protection of personal and confidential data at the University of Ljubljana.

The University of Ljubljana and its member institutions handle your data in accordance with the legislation and apply additional measures to prevent any misuse of data. All our subcontractors are bound to adhere to the same measures.

I am aware that the University of Ljubljana and its member institution(s) to whose alumni club(s) I belong (hereafter: University of Ljubljana) act as personal data controllers in line with the needs of running the alumni clubs.

I am aware of and agree with the fact that the University of Ljubljana checks the data on when and at which UL member institution I completed my studies, and that I cannot become a member of alumni clubs or the UL Alumni online platform without undergoing this procedure.

I hereby give my consent for the use of my personal data for the purposes specified below (please mark the box located before each individual purpose):

• The University of Ljubljana would like to publish my career story/present my career achievements.
• The University of Ljubljana would like to inform me that I have been bestowed an award or commendation for my research or any other extraordinary achievement.
• The University of Ljubljana would like to invite me to present my career path to students and/or alumni.
• The University of Ljubljana would like to invite me to complete a survey on the quality of studies at the UL.
• I would like to become a mentor to younger colleagues (you can apply via the online platform).
• I would like to take part in organising/implementing alumni events (you can apply via the online platform).
• The University of Ljubljana would like to invite me to take part in procedures intended to assess the quality of work performed by the University of Ljubljana.

I am aware that I can withdraw my consent at any time. Consent can be withdrawn in writing at alumni@uni-lj.si.

I am aware that all changes to personal data I communicate subsequently to alumni@uni-lj.si or any other address of a member institution to whose alumni club I belong are also stored.

I am aware that my personal data will be stored in the University of Ljubljana graduate database. The data are kept in digital form in EU territory and under EU law.

I am aware that the data regarding my e-mail address is exported to third countries for the purposes of sending out the UL Alumni online platform e-newsletter and that I can unsubscribe from this service at any time. The term “third countries” refers to all countries outside the EU. The University of Ljubljana’s subcontractor, through which the e-newsletter is sent, is located in the USA.

I am aware that only authorised persons at the University of Ljubljana have direct access to the data.

I am aware that the personal data shall cease to be processed after five years or upon my express withdrawal of consent. After the five-year period, I will be asked to renew my consent. Consent can be withdrawn in writing at alumni@uni-lj.si. Withdrawal of consent shall not affect the legality of any processing carried out before consent is withdrawn.

I am aware that I can request the data controller to enable me access to my personal data while they are subject to processing (until they are anonymised or deleted). I can request my personal data to be amended if I discover they are inaccurate, and can limit the extent to which they are processed until they have been amended.
