Ready to help?

  • Share information

The University of Ljubljana strives for continuous development, for which the most important source of information is you, our former students.

If you have given consent, we will occasionally contact you with requests to complete surveys. We will ask you about your experiences with your studies at the UL, about the knowledge you gained here and how you used it in your career. This will help us evaluate our study programmes and provide data for the development of the university in the future.

Thank you in advance for the 8 minutes of your time that it will take you to complete the questionnaire.

  • Share knowledge

In our 100 years of existence, hundreds of eminent professionals have walked through our doors. They made and continue to make significant contributions to the development of their individual fields. Are you one of them?

If you have the time and would like to share your knowledge with other UL alumni and help broaden their horizons, please contact us via

    You can take part in:

    • professional debates,
    • guided topical discussions and lectures,
    • summer schools and other events.

We are also interested to hear your own suggestions and ideas.

Keep up with events on the Alumni UL website and choose the type of collaboration that suits you.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and helping others understand your field!

  • Become a mentor

We all face professional and personal challenges. The experiences that we gather over the years can be a source of knowledge, support and guidance for many who are just starting out on their career paths.

Sharing personal experiences and knowledge from your career is exceptionally important for our students and recent graduates, as they are just preparing to enter the ‘real world’.

If you are willing to help by cooperating on our students’ theses and research papers or sharing your own professional experiences, we invite you to become a mentor!

You can register for the UL alumni mentoring system on the Alumni UL website, where you can choose how you would like to help the forthcoming generations as a mentor.

Thank you for helping train a new generation of professionals!

  • Become an ambassador

Many of our alumni go abroad for personal or professional reasons, where they often also represent our university and Slovenia with their exceptional achievements.

If you are an expatriate alumnus or alumna and would like to become an ambassador, please

If you are interested in how many of our alumni are scattered all over the world and where they ended up, check out the Alumni UL world map.

Thank you for helping those who came after you!

  • Become a volunteer

The alumni clubs within the University of Ljubljana mainly operate based on volunteerism. If you would like to help out with the clubs’ activities, organise events for alumni or if you have a suggestion on how to improve the clubs’ activities, please

In the 2018/2019 academic year you will be able to choose the alumni club activities that interest you most and on which you would like to leave your mark by clicking on the link below.

Thank you for helping build the UL alumni community!

  • I would like to donate

Alumni UL is not designed according to the model of American alumni associations, at which fundraising is one of the main activities. However, we will be happy to accept donations, which will allow us to provide higher-quality club activities.

If you or your company would like to donate funds or gifts, please
