Workshops with University of Graz and University of Rijeka
In the framework of the Doctoral School and in cooperation with the University of Graz, the University of Ljubljana organizes annual workshops where doctoral students discuss different topics. This year, the University of Rijeka also joined the workshops. The fourth three-day interdisciplinary workshop with the title Quality of Life and Working Conditions in Europe was held from 6 to 8 June 2019 at the University of Rijeka, where 15 doctoral students from all three universities presented their research work. Lectures and workshop moderation were delivered by lecturers and experts: Daphne Ahrendt from Eurofound, Aleksandra Kanjuo Mrčela, Janez Štebe, Andrej Kohont and Irena Vipavc Brvar from the University of Ljubljana, Otto Bodi-Fernandez, Markus Hadler, Dieter Reicher from the University of Graz, Snježana Prijić Samaržija, Nebojša Zelič and Elvio Baccarini from the University of Rijeka.
The two-day workshop on the topic of environmental protection took place on March 22 and 23, 2018 at the University of Graz (Institute of Systems Sciences, Innovation and Sustainability Research). The workshop was officialy opened by the Head of the Doctoral School of the University of Ljubljana prof. dr. Aleksandra Kanjuo Mrčela and Vice-Rector of the University of Graz Prof. Peter Scherrer. Fifteen doctoral students from both universities participated in the workshop and it was moderated by excellent lecturers Prof. Manfred Füllsack, Prof. Tobias Stern, Prof. Rupert J. Baumgartner from the University of Graz and prof. dr. Lučka Kajfež Bogataj from the Biotechnical Faculty of the University of Ljubljana.
The two-day workshop on the topic of migration took place on Friday, 13 January 2017, and Saturday, 14 January 2017. The workshop was designed interdisciplinary and addressed various aspects of migration. Sixteen doctoral students from both universities participated and excellent lecturers moderated the workshop: prof. Karin Schmidlechner-Lienhart, prof. Gerd Oberleitner, dr. Lisa Heschl from the University of Graz and doc. dr. Mojca Pajnik from the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Ljubljana and prof. dr. Grega Strban from the Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana.

An interdisciplinary workshop "Perspectives on research ethics" was held on 15 and 16 January 2016 at the University of Graz. Doctoral students discussed practical and philosophical aspects of research ethics at this workshop.
