The University of Ljubljana has signed a funding agreement for the new UL Faculty of Pharmacy building, which will be integrated into the university’s Brdo campus. This important step signals the realisation of the university’s long-term vision of having state-of-the-art, functional and technologically advanced infrastructure capable of fostering high-quality educational, research and technical activities in the pharmacy field.
The project is the result of close cooperation between the University of Ljubljana, the line ministries and the Slovenian government. The new building will significantly improve faculty premises in terms of space available, and help the faculty expand its study programmes, increase enrolment, and bolster its laboratory and research infrastructure.
The building, built to a modern design, will be integrated into a setting that promotes interdisciplinary cooperation between different University of Ljubljana member institutions. Construction is slated to start in 2026 and be completed in 2030.
The University of Ljubljana takes this opportunity to thank all the partners that have helped bring about this strategically important project – a project that will make a long-term contribution to the development of Slovenian higher education, science and healthcare.
