Research Associate – Co-Head of GreenHer Infrastructure (m/f)

Requirements for the position:
- Required education: doctoral degree (pre-Bologna) in a relevant field or PhD (third Bologna cycle) in a relevant field
- Valid habilitation title: Research Associate or Assistant Professor (Docent)
- Knowledge of English
- Work experience is not required. Preferably:
- 3 years in research and innovation activities,
- 3 years in heritage science,
- experience in managing research and innovation
General description:
- scientific research work,
- organisation, coordination, planning and monitoring of research activities (within a research group),
- linking research activities with other research institutions,
- participation in the development of research programmes and involvement in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching,
- monitoring open calls, applying for calls, informing superiors and participating in/preparing applications,
- professional cooperation with clients of research projects,
- preparation of reports and research documentation,
- ensuring safe and healthy working conditions for employees and students, including proper training and awareness regarding hazardous substances and safety measures,
- performing other tasks within the broader professional scope of the position.
Detailed description:
- The Co-Head for Infrastructure is responsible for infrastructure investments, construction, procurement procedures for research equipment and the management of e-RIHS.si. The Co-Head is a member of the Centre Management Board, participates in its meetings and assists in implementing its decisions. The Co-Head works closely with the Central Office, especially with members responsible for infrastructure investments, and with other Co-Heads.
Tasks:
- reports to the Head of the Centre,
- leads the development and revision of the Centre’s infrastructure strategy,
- contributes to the development and revision of the research and innovation strategy,
- acts as National Coordinator for the Slovenian node of the European Research Infrastructure for Heritage Science and represents it in the E-RIHS ERIC National Nodes Committee,
- acts as leader of WP2 “CoE Operation” as defined in the GreenHer project grant agreement,
- other tasks include:
- preparation of annual plans and reports,
- development and revision of data management plans,
- development and revision of biennial work plans for research cores,
- development and revision of IPR management policy,
- development and revision of training and education strategies,
- development and revision of ethical research policies and protocols,
- development and revision of risk management plans,
- development and revision of dissemination, exploitation and communication plans (DEC).
- The Co-Head for Infrastructure also performs other tasks required by the laws and regulations of the University of Ljubljana and any duties assigned or delegated by the Head of the Centre, including operational, administrative, managerial or strategic tasks necessary for the effective functioning of the organisation.
