Content of ECTS sports subject | The basic content of the ECTS sports subject is linked to acquiring practical and theoretical knowledge of snowboarding for both the beginners as well as students with a good snowboarding background. In the autumn, an introductory lecture will be published on preparations and the choice of appropriate and the best affordable snowboarding equipment for different categories of boarders (beginners, ones with more snowboarding knowledge, etc.). The practical part of the program will be held in the compact form of a few-day course, where the work on snow will be carried out in, according to the knowledge background, homogeneous groups led by the highest professionally qualified snowboard instructors. Participants will try to achieve advances in snowboarding techniques based on the selection of the most effective ways of learning according to their skills and knowledge background (intermediary and corrective exercises, use of assistive devices, individual-group work, etc.). Upon completion of practical work on the snow, every day, organized within the groups led by teachers, there will be an analysis of video recordings of performances of each individual snowboarder. Using the video camera is a very effective part of the teaching process, in particular regarding the correction of deficiencies in snowboarding technique. On the last day, the ECTS sports subject will also include examination of practical knowledge of candidates. For all the present candidates this will mean the completion of the ECTS sports subject and eligibility for acquiring 3 credits points (CP). |
