Assessment | The exam is scored from 1–10 in accordance with the Statutes of the University of Ljubljana. Theoretical (70%) and practical (30%) exam. |

Content of ECTS sports subject | The basic Content of the ECTS sports subject is linked to acquiring practical and theoretical knowledge of skiing for both beginners as well as students with good skiing background. In the autumn, there an introductory lecture will be published on preparations for skiing and the choice of appropriate and the best affordable ski equipment for different categories of skiers (beginners, better skiers, etc.). The practical part of the ECTS sports subject will be held in the compact form of a few-day course, where the work on snow will be carried out in – according to the knowledge background – homogeneous groups led by the highest professionally qualified ski instructors. Participants will try to achieve advances in their skiing techniques based on the selection of the most effective ways of ski learning, according to their skills and knowledge background (intermediary and corrective exercises, use of assistive devices, individual-group work, etc.). Upon completion of practical work on the snow, every day, organized within the groups led by teachers, will be analysis of video recordings of performances of each individual skier. Using the video camera is a very effective part of the teaching process, in particular regarding the correction of deficiencies in skiing technique. The last day of the ECTS sports subject will also include an examination of practical knowledge of skiing. For all the present candidates, this will mean the completion of the ECTS sports subject and eligibility for acquiring 3 credits points (ECTS CP). |

Intended learning outcomes | Understanding the concepts, laws, phenomena, structures, processes, relationships and procedures in alpine skiing; The creation of rational and emotional attitudes towards physical effort, knowledge of the theory of active rest, and methods for regeneration of the body; Using the acquired knowledge in everyday life and to compensate for the negative effects of unilateral load during the study; Developing an own understanding of theory and practical experience – through the acquired knowledge to ensure greater quality of life and greater study efficiency; Skill of using domestic and foreign literature, the use of teaching aids, identification and problem solving, critical analysis, reflection on the read literature and teamwork. |
