Study programme

ECTS credit points can be obtained for the first or the second cycle of the study programme.


Enrolment in the first or the second cycle of a study programme of the University of Ljubljana. Requirement for taking the exam is 75% attendance of the course.

Methods of work

  • Tutorial: 60hrs.
  • Individual work: 30 hrs.


The exam is scored from 110 in accordance with the Statutes of the University of Ljubljana. Theoretical (30%) and practical (70%) exam.

Content of ECTS sports subject

The basic contents of the ECTS sports subject are table tennis strokes. Upon learning and development of table tennis strokes through play, the candidates learn about the basics of methodical procedures and organizational forms in working with large groups, the basic rules of table tennis, as well as information on the organization of table tennis tournaments.

Objectives and competences

  • Raising awareness about the values of sport and through that influence the formation of positive attitudes towards sport and getting used to a healthy lifestyle.
  • Eliminating and preventing the consequences of a lack of exercise and concern for the improvement of mental and physical fitness, health promotion and creative use of leisure time
  • Knowledge and use of basics of teaching table tennis strokes
  • Mastering the basics of table tennis in playing conditions
  • The ability of self-correcting the technique of table tennis strokes
  • Knowing the basics of organization for teaching and coaching table tennis
  • The ability to take part in competition (in the framework of the ECTS sports subject)
  • The ability to organize competitions

Intended learning outcomes

Knowledge of shots, methodical procedures, rules, organizational forms;

Use as a leisure activity;

The ability to fulfil your playing skills;

Transfer of learned lessons to similar racquet sports (tennis, badminton and speedminton)
