Prerequisites | Enrolment in the first or the second cycle of a study programme of the University of Ljubljana. Requirement for taking the exam is 75% attendance of the course. |

Assessment | The exam is scored from 1–10 in accordance with the Statutes of the University of Ljubljana. Theoretical (50%) and practical (50%) exam. |

Content of ECTS sports subject | The ECTS sports subject includes special theoretical content (lectures) and practical content that students will learn during the practical exercise, as follows: Basketball – basic program: Special theoretical content: - The terms and concepts of techniques and tactics
- Basic Basketball Rules, referee' signs, writing reports
- Leading the team in a game
- Ways of organizing competitions in 1:1, 2:2 and 3:3 on a half court
- Organization of competitions for full court games with a circular and playoff system
Practical content: - Basic technical and tactical elements of the game 1:1, 2:2 and 3:3 on a half court (ball handling, shooting, dribbling, passing, catching, getting open, backdooring and cross running)
- Basic common tactic in the game 4:4 and/or 5:5 with and without centers (emphasis on 4:4) on a full court in the offence and defence (the basics of man-to-man defence, counterattacking and set an offence against man-to-man defence)
- Various competition games of 1:1, 2:2 and 3:3 on a half court and 4:4 and/or 5:5 (the focus on 4:4) on a full court
Basketball – follow-up program: Special theoretical content: - New terms and concepts of techniques and tactics
- Advanced Basketball Rules and referee' signs, advancing in writing reports
- Management of the match
- Competition propositions and applying the team to the match, match preparation and analysis of the game, writing simple basketball statistics
- Organization of competitions in games on a full court with a circular and playoff system
Practical content: - Technical and tactical elements of the game 1:1, 2:2 and 3:3 on a half court (ball handling, shooting, dribbling, passing, catching, getting open, backdooring, cross running and setting screens)
- The common tactic in the game 4:4 and 5:5 with and without centers on full court in offence and defence: counterattack and offence against a zone defence and man-to-man defence, transition and set-up man-to-man defence and basics of zone defence 2:1:2
- Various competition games of 1:1, 2:2 and 3:3 on a half court, and 4:4 and 5:5 on a full court

Intended learning outcomes | Thorough knowledge of the contents of the sport – basketball as the foundation that allows the quality of life and the conquest of technical and tactical elements of a basketball game, and knowledge of special theoretical content Usage of the acquired knowledge and skills in their daily lives to compensate for the negative effects of unilateral load at the time of study and work Ensure greater quality of life and greater efficiency in study and work Skilful use of domestic and foreign literature, the use of teaching aids, identification and problem solving, critical analysis, reflection on the literature and teamwork |
