Study programme

ECTS credit points can be obtained for the first or the second cycle of the study programme.

Prerequisites

Enrolment in the first or the second cycle of a study programme of the University of Ljubljana. Requirement for taking the exam is 75% attendance of the course.

Methods of work

  • Tutorial: 60 hrs.
  • Individual work: 30 hrs.

Assessment

The exam is scored from 110 in accordance with the Statutes of the University of Ljubljana. Theoretical (50%) and practical (50%) exam.

Equipment

Sports clothes and clean sports shoes, bottle of water.

Content of ECTS sports subject

The ECTS sports subject includes practical content and special theoretical content that students will learn during the practical exercise, as follows:

Volleyball   basic program:

  • Basic technical and tactical elements of the game
  • Basic common tactic in the game 6:0 and in this system know how to play offence and defence
  • Basic Volleyball Rules, referee' signs, writing Score- sheet
  • Various competition games, systems of competition, protocol of the match, rights and duty for coach

Volleyball  follow-up program:

  • The common tactical and technical elements on the highest level
  • System of playing 6:2, 4:2 and 5:1. Know how to play offence and defence in any of these systems
  • Basic Volleyball and Beach volleyball Rules, referee' signs, writing Score- sheet
  • Various competition games, systems of competition, protocol of the match, rights and duty for coach
  • Management of the match
  • New terms and concepts of techniques and volleyball tactics
  • Basics of physical and tactical learning
  • Competition propositions and applying the team to the match, match preparation and analysis of the game, writing simple volleyball statistics

Objectives and competences

  • Knowledge of basic and advanced volleyball techniques and tactics as well as theoretical knowledge, which is associated with them
  • Developing selected (fundamental) physical and tactical abilities and personality traits
  • Ability to perform in the competition (in the ECTS sports subject)

Intended learning outcomes

Solid knowledge of the contents of the sport volleyball as a foundation that allows quality of life and the conquest of technical and tactical elements of the game, and knowledge of special theoretical content;

Usage of the acquired knowledge and skills in their daily lives to compensate for the negative effects of unilateral load at the time of study and work;

Ensure greater quality of life and greater efficiency in study and work;

Skilful use of domestic and foreign literature, the use of teaching aids, identification and problem solving, critical analysis, reflection on the literature and teamwork
