At the world competition in work simulation of the United Nations, World International Model United Nations (WIMUN) 2015, which took place from 10 to 14 November 2015 at the United Nations headquarters in New York, the team from the Faculty of Law of the University of Ljubljana received the most prestigious award for the best delegation, the WIMUN 2015 Secretary-General Award. The group also received the most individual awards by individual committees: the Security Council and the First, the Second and the Sixth Committee of the UN General Assembly. 

The competition was organised by the World Federation of United Nations Organizations, and it was attended by over 500 delegates from more than fifty countries.

The winning team was composed of students Domen Turšič, Matic Burkeljc, Jan Marčič Maruško, Maks David Osojnik, Brina Žitnik, Veronika Cukrov and Gal Šumak Pečenko, and was mentored by doc. Dr. Vasilka Sancin.
