The Rectorate of the University of Ljubljana held a celebration for a very special jubilee: the eightieth birthday of Academician Alojz Kralj. From 1993 to 1997, he was the Vice-Rector and later the Rector of the University of Ljubljana. During his leadership, the University drafted its first written mission statement, based on which its collective academic culture was gradually established.
Honouring the pleasant memories of the times spent working with Professor Kralj were the current Rector of the University of Ljubljana Prof. Dr. Ivan Svetlik, the Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Ljubljana Prof. Dr. Igor Papič, the President of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts Academician Tadej Bajd, and Prof. Dr. Marko Munih from the University of Electrical Engineering of the University of Ljubljana who is also the Editor of the book SI ROBOTIKA. The book was, in fact, published to honour Academician Alojz Kralj on the occasion of his eightieth birthday and was first presented to the public during the festive event.
