According to the Ordinance on imposing and implementing measures for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19, persons entering Slovenia from countries or administrative units of countries that are not on the list of epidemiologically safe countries (red list) and persons that have permanent or temporary residence in those countries, have to undergo a mandatory 10-day quarantine upon entry into Slovenia.

We were informed that some foreign students from the countries on the red list arrive in Slovenia by plane via the airports of the countries on the green list and announce transit to Slovenia on the same day, so foreign authorities do not issue quarantine orders. Also, the students are not issued quarantine orders upon entering Slovenia. In such cases, the students must inform the police or the health inspectorate upon arrival in Ljubljana, as they may also issue quarantine orders in the interior of Slovenia.

All students are asked to comply with all safety measures to prevent the spread of covid-19 disease, including compliance with the 10-day quarantine (red-list). All information regarding accommodation during quarantine can be found here.
