Written Impressions

“My name is Alice, I'm from France and I am a medicine student in Ljubljana for the whole year. I found in this city, all the things I was searching for and even more. I mean, the city is really wonderful and Slovenia landscapes in general are amazing. But the greatest thing of this exchange is the erasmus mentality. Even if all clubs or bars are closed, we still find some ways to discover and meet new people. Everybody is open-minded and came here with the same goal : enjoy ! We know that our erasmus is not like the previous ones but it’s up to us to make it differently unbelievable. And we still have the hope of travelling abroad (as Slovenia is in the middle of Europe) during the second semester !"

"When I arrived in Ljubljana, there were a few restrictions but I could still experience the Slovenian life almost as if it was normal. Traveling in the country, hiking in the mountains, meeting with people... I enjoyed it a lot ! But then, the situation has worsened and we could not do I much as we wanted. But Ljubljana has a lot of nice places and it was an opportunity to explore the city and its surrounding and to do some fun activities : watch the sunrise and do rock climbing in Šmarna Gora, see Koseze lake and go up on the ski jump in Tivoli park,... Now the weather is cold and rainy so it is a good time stay at home eating Christmas cookies and trying to learn Slovenian, but I am looking forward the easing of the restrictions to go skiing in Slovenian resorts !"
