POSITION: University teacher of Printmaking  

Status: full-time indefinite employment  


- Artistic achievements confirmed by University of Ljubljana;

- Valid habilitation title: assistant professor/associate professor/full professor, or an equivalent title at a similar internationally recognised institution. In the latter case, the contract can be signed either after the equivalence of the titles has been officially recognised, or after the guest professor title has been awarded to the candidate, or after meeting the minimal quantitative and qualitative criteria for the appointment to the required title (see the Statutes of the University of Ljubljana published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenija, No 4/2017 and the Criteria for Appointment to the Titles of University Teacher, Researcher and Associate at the University of Ljubljana (Merila za volitve v nazive visokošolskih učiteljev, znanstvenih delavcev in sodelavcev Univerze v Ljubljani)  valid from 1  August 2020 (including changes). In the latter case, the candidate has to submit the necessary documents for the recognition of the title (according to Article 157 of the Statutes UL) or full dossier (bibliography, biography, etc) proving that she/he meets the stated criteria for appointment to the title. A candidate has to enclose a statement that she/he agrees with the employment application to be considered also as an application for election to the title or for recognition of the title.

- Professional experiences in field;

- At least seven years of independent work in the field of art (independent and curated presentations in reference galleries, international collaborations, ect…);

- Ability to relate contemporary artistic practices with traditional and contemporary printmaking techniques;

- Rhetorical skills, inventiveness, resourcefulness, ability to manage projects and organize your own work with the flexibility to engage collaboratively with a diverse set of colleagues within the program;

- Active knowledge of English and knowledge of the Slovenian language at B2 level according to the European Reference Framework for Languages (CEFR). If the selected candidate fails to meet this condition at the time of the job placement, he must complete it within three years from the date of employment.  


- Forming and updating a syllabus and adjusting university and higher vocational education programmes to the requirements;

- Organizing and co-organizing all activities for the realization of the course in accordance with the syllabus and experts findings, coordination of work and supervising other course teachers (assistants, technical and other co-workers);

- Lecturing students, managing seminars and other pedagogical activities of the course in undergraduate study programmes;

- Managing, evaluating and correcting exams and tests;

- Directing art work and research work, directing the study activities of students and mentoring students with execution of their diploma papers and other works;

- Scientific-research and art work, study and development of concepts, theories and methods.
