2. Qualificatios required for the position:

• doctoral degree in natural sciences
• active knowledge of English language
• good communication and organizational skills, ability to work independently in professional and scientific environment
• valid habilitation title of assistant or research assistant in the field of microbiology, if the candidate does not have one, he/she must obtain it within the first four months of employment
• we are looking for a candidate with experience in microscopic analysis of bacterial cells, Bacillus sp gene regulation, genetic engineering of microbes and phage-host interactions 

3. Short description of tasks:  

• setting up high-performance imaging platform to investigate phage-host interactions, within the  ERC project entitled 'The evolution of host manipulation by bacteriophage'
• designing and performing high-throughput cell and virus imaging studies, gene expression  analysis, and genetic engineering of bacteria and bacteriophages
• collaboration within the project team, chair and the department
• preparation of research reports, presentations and research manuscripts
• active participation in deparment seminars, chair meetings and group meetings  
• preparing proposals for purchasing research equipment, maintaining equipment and ordering consumables
• carrying out tasks in one's field as instructed by the head of the organizational unit and other tasks that fall within the broader professional area of the position
• performance of other tasks that fall within the broader professional field of the position
• working with computer tools.
