At the University of Ljubljana this year, we awarded eighteen ceremonial certificates to students for the best study results and seven awards to students for special achievements and extracurricular activities. “The merit of the university and the academic community of students is the best possible implementation of study programmes and acquiring the knowledge and competences the programmes provide. An additional merit is exceeding the requirements and expectations of the study programmes. Therefore, we hope that every student of our university will engage in extracurricular activity.” stated the rector of the University of Ljubljana, prof. dr. Ivan Svetlik.

The honorary speaker at the event was a student at the Biotechnical Faculty of the University of Ljubljana and the leader of the Biostart-up team Miha Rajh, who, in his speech, mainly emphasized that there are no shortcuts on the path to success: “Not a day goes by when I am not active in at least one area. The desire for success will not let me rest. Many do not know that merely passing exams with the least effort possible is not enough. They do not know that a career must be built and that they have to constantly prove themselves, even in several areas. Everybody has the opportunity, or should have it, to prove themselves.”
