We invite you to the presentation of the monograph Dictionary of Modern Slovenian: Problems and Solutions, the result of the research work of a group of researchers within the University of Ljubljana Centre for Language Resources and Technologies and the programme group Slovenian Language – Basic Contrastive and Applied Studies. The presentation will take place on Friday, 13 November 2015 at 11:30 on the premises of the City Museum of Ljubljana.

The book was published within the collection Translation Studies and Applied Linguistics at the Academic Publishing Division of the University of Ljubljana Faculty of Arts and will be presented by prof. Dr. Monika Kalin Golob, editors prof. Dr. Vojko Gorjanc, Dr. Polona Gantar, Dr. Iztok Kosem and Dr. Simon Krek, and reviewers Dr. Maja Bratanić of the Institute of Croatian Language and Linguistics in Zagreb and Dr. Václav Cvrček of the Institute of the Czech National Corpus, Charles University in Prague. The opening speeches of the event will be given by the Rector of the University of Ljubljana prof. Dr. Ivan Svetlik and Dean of the University of Ljubljana Faculty of Arts prof. Dr. Branka Kalenić Ramšak.

Prior to the event, at 9:30 a round table Linguistic Features of the Slovenian Language will be organised on the premises of the City Museum of Ljubljana. It will be attended by prof. Dr. Marko Stabej and prof. Dr. Špela Vintar of the University of Ljubljana Faculty of Arts, prof. Dr. Marko Robnik Šikonja of the University of Ljubljana Faculty of Computer and Information Science, assist. prof. Dr. Darinka Verdonik of the University of Maribor Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and assist. prof. Dr. Tomaž Erjavec and Marko Grobelnik of the Jožef Stefan Institute. The round table will be moderated by Dr. Simon Krek of the Jožef Stefan Institute and University of Ljubljana Centre for Language Resources and Technologies.
