The Faculty of Administration of the University of Ljubljana organised a consultation titled Joint Master Study Programmes at the University of Ljubljana. The consultation hosted a lecturer from the University of Leipzig, Germany, the coordinators of the joint study programmes, experts from the members of the University of Ljubljana, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport, the Centre of the RS for Mobility and European Educational and Training Programmes (CMEPIUS), and the Slovenian Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (NAKVIS).
In the introduction the lecturer from the University of Leipzig presented the results of two European projects from the field of joint study programmes JOIMAN and JOI.CON. The latter was also coordinated by the University of Leipzig. She also presented the experiences of the university in preparing their joint study programmes.
The representative of CMEPIUS presented the options for financing the preparation, implementation and mobility in the joint programmes. The experiences in the preparation and implementation of joint study programmes were presented by the coordinators and experts from the members of the University of Ljubljana who highlighted different viewpoints and challenges, like coordination and promotion of the joint programme, organisation and implementation of the joint interdisciplinary programme, administrative issues and implementation of student mobility in the joint programmes, and success factors of the joint programme.
The event was concluded with a round table titled The Key Elements for Securing Long-term Sustainability of Joint Study Programmes and featured coordinators from the four joint programmes of the University of Ljubljana and representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport, CMEPIUS and NAKVIS.
