In 2016, the team from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the University of Ljubljana once again participated at the International Math Competition for University Students, which was held in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. This time students from the Mathematics programme competed against other students from around the world: Lenart Traven from the first year, Juš Kosmač from the second, Rok Havlas and Teo Kukuljan from the third year of first cycle studies, and Veno Mramor from second cycle studies. 320 students of 72 teams participated in total.

Students from the University of Ljubljana did well once again. Teo Kukuljan, Veno Mramor and Juš Kosmač won second place, while Lenart Traven and Rok Hvala both received commendation. As a team, the UL Faculty of Mathematics and Physics achieved 30th place.
