This year, the Faculty of Administration of the University of Ljubljana celebrates a major anniversary – sixty years of operation. The jubilee celebrations will culminate on Tuesday, 22 November 2016, with a gala for faculty employees and the publication of an anthology. Additionally, an exhibition on the Faculty’s development and activities was opened in the spring at Faculty premises, entitled "S tradicijo in znanjem v (u)pravo smer”, and will be open until the end of the year.

The decision of establishing the School of Administration in 1956 was made as an expression of awareness of the importance of the development of the employees in the civil service, as well as new knowledge and content. Through time, the Short-Cycle Administrative College became a member of the best and oldest university in Slovenia, the University of Ljubljana. Through the years it reorganized and adopted study programmes with up-to-date content and through joint effort constructed new premises, providing exceptional conditions for cooperation and creative work. It amended its status, and its many years of efforts were crowned with the most reputable international accreditation of graduate and post-graduate programmes – EAPAA.

The Faculty of Administration looks to the future with great optimism. It will continue to deliver the best knowledge possible to its students and return useful solutions to the environment, all while making important contributions to the development and promotion of science as a member of the University of Ljubljana and as part of a wider international academic environment.
