The winner of the Falling Walls Lab Ljubljana 2018 competiton is a PhD student from Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Ljubljana (UL FFA) Davide Benedetto Tiz. He will travel to Berlin on the 8th of November for the international final event Falling Walls Lab where he will present his strategy for overcoming antibacterial resistance.
Eight best ideas in Slovenia were presented at the final selection of the Falling Walls Lab Ljubljana competition. Ideas came from different academic areas and each participant had the opportunity to present a three minute presentation. The six-member commission selected Davide Benedetto Tiz, a PhD student from UL FFA, as the winner. He will travel to Berlin for the international final event where he will present his strategy for overcoming antibacterial resistance.
The Falling Walls Lab International Contest in Slovenia is implemented by the Ljubljana University Incubator in cooperation with the University of Ljubljana and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), with the support of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany. It is an inspiring and interdisciplinary event that offers students, researchers and professionals from different academic fields the opportunity to present a breakthrough idea.
