Covid Message

The Covid-19 is currently impacting all universities member of the EUTOPIA Alliance, although an administrative continuity has been organized to allow staff members to work from home.

First EUTOPIA Week organized by CY Cergy Paris University

From June 29th to July 3rd, the first EUTOPIA Week of the six planned within the EUTOPIA 2050 project will be hosted by CY Cergy Paris University.

Around given thematics, the purpose of the first EUTOPIA Week 2020 is:

  • to reinforce the alliance’s identity and culture, to celebrate the alliance,
  • to include all our students and staff into this event,
  • to communicate the event at a French local and regional level,
  • to bring together all key actors of the project,
  • to advance on the scheduled actions of the project,
  • to make participants discover CY Cergy Paris Université academic and cultural environment.

During this week are planned: meetings, conferences, workshops, contests, cultural visits and CY University tours. The actors involved are the presidents and the vice presidents, WP leads and co-leads, actions leaders and members, students, staff, academics and researchers from six partners of EUTOPIA.

Due to the current sanitary situation, the first EUTOPIA Week will be held in a virtual version.

University of Ljubljana's Summer School Academia Aestiva Internationalis AA and the International Summer School of Political Ecology 2020 postponed until 2021

Due to the coronavirus situation, the International Summer School of Political Ecology 2020, which should take place between 29th June and 3 July at the Faculty of Social Sciences in Ljubljana, Slovenia, is being cancelled.

It is postponed until 2021, the expected dates are from 28th June to 2nd July 2021. The concept and theme of the summer school will be retained and actualized accordingly.

University of Ljubljana's Summer Schools going online

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some of the University of Ljubljana's Summer Schools will be held online.

LJUBLJANA SUMMER SCHOOL Online courses, 6 - 20 July 2020

  • Courses forBachelor/Master students and recent graduates.
  • Students can choose among 9 online courseswith 6 or 7 ECTS.
  • Online course fee: 360 EUR
  • Courses are led by internationally experienced academics from 10 different countries.


DOCTORAL SUMMER SCHOOL Online courses, 13 - 17 July and 20 - 24 July 2020 

  • Programme for PhD studentspostdocsacademicsand professionals from different areas.
  • Participants can choose among 13 specialized courseswith 4 ECTS.
  • Online course fee: 600 EUR
  • Courses are led by renowned international academics.


Fernandes Fellowships at the University of Warwick
Supported by the University of Warwick, the Fernandes Fellowships aim to develop lasting research collaborations between Warwick and Europe, in particularly with EUTOPIA partners. 

The Fellowships will allow those in research, tenure-track or early academic positions at European institutions to undertake a three-month visit to Warwick (possibly split over two or three visits) in order to develop long-term research collaborations by participating in a specific program of research and scholarship with their host and other collaborators, and engaging with the wider Warwick research community. 

The Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) at Warwick has recently released details of projects that have been awarded Fernandes Fellowships. Researchers from the University of Pompeu Fabra, Vrije Universiteit Brussels, CY Cergy Paris Université and the University of Ljubljana have all notably been successful and will visit Warwick as Fellows for research projects.

2020 Annual Conference of the Emerging Markets Conference Board 
The School of Economics and Business of the University of Ljubljana welcomes you to the 2020 Annual Conference of the Emerging Markets Conference Board on June 2-3. The annual EMCB conferences aim to gather marketing scholars and practitioners interested in issues and challenges of marketing and related management issues in emerging markets. Due to the current situation, the conference will be held online. More information on this event below. 

Barcelona International Summer School
Considering the worldwide situation caused by the spread of the COVID-19, UPF has decided that the Barcelona International Summer School (BISS) goes online for its 2020 edition.

The final offerings and calendar are now available on the website below. Please be reminded that students from EUTOPIA institutions benefit from the same conditions as UPF students, i.e. no registration fee and UPF public fees (instead of those applicable to international students). 

Online registration is open until June 19th.
