The second round of elections for the Rector will take place on Wednesday 21st of April 2021 (between 8am and 4pm) at all 26 member faculties of the University and at the Rectorate simultaneously. Due to the epidemiological conditions, voting will take place electronically, using the Simply Voting system.

The electronic voting portal is accessible at: https://uni-lj.simplyvoting.com/ (To access the Voting, enter your Username and Password, Instructions for Use and Voting are HERE).

The following candidates entered the second round of elections:

  • Dr Igor Papič (proposed by UL FE and UL FKKT),
  • Dr Gregor Majdič (proposed by UL VF),

The right to vote for the Rector is held by three groups of voters as follows:

  • higher education teachers, scientific staff and higher education and research associates who are employed at the University for at least half the regular hours, except for teachers of clinical subjects, who must be employed for at least 25 percent of the full regular hours;
  • students;
  • professional, administrative and technical staff who are employed for at least half the regular hours.

Groups of voters have different weighting in the tallying of votes, whereby the groups of students and professional staff each account for 20 percent of the entire vote. The election is direct and will take place simultaneously at all member faculties and the Rector's Office.

We are kindly inviting the voters to attend the elections.
