The IMB programme consolidates its position among the best on this year’s Financial Times global ranking, and again moves seven places higher

The School of Economics and Business of the University of Ljubljana can boast yet another success, with its master’s programme – International Master in Business and Organisation (IMB) – being placed 69th in the prestigious Financial Times ranking, which covers the best master’s programmes for Master in Management in the world. In just two years the programme rose 17 places. In this way the IMB programme consolidated its position among the best, gaining a place on the ranking for the fourth year running.

Having a place on this ranking is not just s sign of prestige, it affords graduates of the IMB programme greater recognition on the international labour market, and for the School of Economics and Business it signals a confirmation of its quality and standing in the international community of business education.

The Financial Times ranking is the most highly recognised in the international business community, for it provides its own ranking of the quality of programmes and outstanding graduates, who on completion of studies are highly employable. In addition to the programme, teachers, contacts with the business community and internationalisation, the key elements that affect ranking are in particular the high level of employability of graduates and their salaries on completion of studies and three years later.

Around the world there are about 14,000 business schools. Of these just 100 are placed on the Financial Times list. Being placed on the most prominent ranking in the world represents acknowledgement for the School and for the IMB team led by Prof. Polona Domadenik Muren, and signifies a confirmation of the quality and reputation of the School in the international community of business education. Furthermore this is also a major recognition and promotion for Slovenia.
