The Rector of the University of Ljubljana, Prof. Dr. Radovan Stanislav Pejovnik, attended the meeting of the Student Council and spoke with the councillors regarding current study issues and pressing concerns. In an open dialogue, the rector answered questions posed by student senators and councillors. The ensuing debate was very constructive, and the students were pleased with the talks.

Janez Turk, President of the Student Council of the University of Ljubljana, said: “It was a very positive surprise that the Rector attended the student council meeting and took the time for us. We were previously accustomed to receiving only polite visits from the university management, and they listened to us only selectively. The current rector, Prof. Dr. Pejovnik, listened to us and took notice. As far as I know, this was the first time in the history of the university that the rector spoke with student senators for almost two hours. We asked him a number of questions, even unpleasant ones, and presented our pressing study issues. We were able to find a common language. He promised to visit us again, and we believe that he will keep his promise. We are happy to be cooperating with the university management in this way.”
