On Friday, 1 June 2012, the Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Radovan Stanislav Pejovnik, welcomed the singers of the Collegium Technicum Academic Choir from Slovakia. Furthermore, the Rector introduced the university and its artistic activity to the choir. Because the choir is composed of students of technical sciences, the Rector also focused on the presentation of the new construction of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology and the Faculty of Computer and Information Science for which the University of Ljubljana received EUR 88 million of non-refundable funds from the European Union, Regional Development Fund. The visiting choir, which visited Ljubljana at the invitation of our Tone Tomšič Academic Choir, expressed their thanks for the pleasant reception with a traditional Slovakian song.
