Member States together with the European Commission every year selected only a few best LIFE projects that ended and were evaluated during the previous year. Among 61 projects from the field of nature or related communications, in January 2015 it chose 13 and among those chosen is also our SloWolf project.

The project was carried out between 2010 and 2013 by the University of Ljubljana together with partners the Slovenia Forest Service and the Dinarcium Association. The goal of the project “Conservation and Surveillance of Conservation Status of Wolf (Canis lupus) Population in Slovenia” (“SloWolf for short”) was the long term preservation of wolf population, their main prey and their habitats in Slovenia and the improvement of their co-existence with people.
