The academic bachelor study programme Biochemistry is a programme providing for a sound knowledge base in all major fields of biochemistry and molecular biology, sufficient knowledge in biochemistry informatics, mathematics, and physics, and generals skills for laboratory work and practical skills for independent routine and research work in biochemistry laboratories.
With this level of knowledge and skill,s candidates should be able to continue studies on master programmes in biochemistry, chemistry, biotechnology, biomedicine and other life sciences.
Academic bachelor study programme Chemical Engineering is designed to empower future engineers to act professionally in real industrial processes and on the basis of chemical engineering knowledge manage, analyze and design chemical processes and products.
Graduates generally have good foundation knowledge in the major fields of chemical engineering, solid knowledge of chemistry and sufficient knowledge of mathematics and physics. The acquired standard of knowledge and competences empower them to enroll into master study programmes. They are able to implement analyses, syntheses and understanding of the influence of technical products on environment and society, communicate efficiently, also in English, and use modern presentation tools. They acquire skills to work in multidisciplinary groups, understand the principles of management and understand business practice. They are aware of their professional and ethical responsibility and are capable of autonomous learning and feel the need for life-long learning.
The academic bachelor study programme Chemistry provides sound and broad knowledge in all main areas of chemistry, supported by solid knowledge of mathematics and physics, supplemented with basic knowledge in biochemistry and chemical engineering.
Tthe graduates acquire basic knowledge in computer science and bioinformatic, practical skills for laboratory work to be able to work individually or in teams in chemical laboratories, general transferable skills, high standard of knowledge, competencies and study skill necessary for further autonomous study.
Graduates acquire competencies for employment in any working environment, including positions in chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

The academic bachelor study programme Technical safety is designed to equip future engineers with the knowledge necessary for strategic integration into safety processes on the basis of risk analysis.
The programme enables future engineers to discuss and analyse safety problems prior to the realization of projects, and not as is the existing practice when they are called into action only after the processes have been set up and technical safety engineers can no longer have an essential influence on occupational and fire safety.

Professional bachelor study programme Chemical technology represents a link between natural and mathematical sciences and engineering sciences.
This programme is focused on practical work of future graduates in a wide range of work positions in industry, research institutions, administration and elsewhere. The reform and modernisation of the study programme has been conditioned by external factors, i.e. EU directives and directives of the Republic of Slovenia for higher education, as well as internal factors.
Among the latter there are: the need for continuous modernization of higher education programmes as a response to dynamic changes in the development of chemistry and chemical industrial production as well as the related fields of pharmacy, materials etc. Changes are necessary also due to increased concern for environment protection and higher safety requirements in transport and production of various chemicals etc. In this respect, the programme is a combination of fundamental chemical knowledge and applied knowledge directed into technology and engineering.
