When you find out about your infection,
you should inform your contacts in the last two days before the onset of symptoms that they have been in contact with a person positive for SARS-CoV-2.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PERSONS EXPOSED TO INFECTION WITH THE NEW CORONAVIRUS
We are trying to contain the spread of new coronavirus infections by the use of entry restrictions and other measures at the borders of Slovenia. Thus, we wish to ensure the maximum safety of the national population and travelers to the country.
Before your arrival to Slovenia, please check regularly updated information about border crossing on the Government website.
There is no prescribed place for quarantine.
In case you are required to quarantine for 10 days, please follow the content of the quarantine decision and the following instructions (official instruction in Slovene)
STAY AT HOME
People who live with you in the same household and have not been quarantined should follow the recommendations of social distancing. Social distancing means that people living with you in the same household should follow the instructions not to socialize unnecessarily with people outside the common household, keep a distance of 1.5 m, go to the store as little as possible and when there are not many people.
MONITOR YOUR HEALTH
Monitor your health using the Health Monitor Table. If you develop signs of a respiratory infection (eg. colds, cough, fever, shortness of breath) or other symptoms listed in the Health Monitoring Table during this period, call your personal or emergency physician for further follow-up instructions. Tell your doctor that you are in quarantine. List of doctors available here.
Healthcare professionals will give you instructions on whether a visit to the doctor is necessary. You will also receive additional instructions such as how to travel, how to install a mask, when to report to a medical institution, which entrance to use, etc. In case you have to travel to the health center entry point on your own, do not use public transport, car sharing or taxi.
PROVISION OF BASIC LIVING NEEDS
For the provision of basic groceries and hygiene supplies, you can turn to student tutors, or friends, so they can provide them for you and deliver them to your home. When delivering, they should not enter your home, but leave the supplies in front of the front door and inform you about it on the intercom or telephone.
We recommend using alternative shopping methods such as online sales and delivery in a secure way, with the delivery person not entering your home and delivering the package to your front door.

WHEN IS THE END OF QUARANTINE?
Quarantine lasts 10 days from the last high-risk close contact with a patient with COVID-19 or 10 days from arrival in Slovenia (for persons who have been quarantined upon entry into Slovenia).
In the event of testing for SARS-CoV-2 during quarantine, the quarantine is not terminated or the duration of quarantine is not shortened, despite the negative result.
If you are without health problems during the 10-days quarantine, you can start your usual activities after the end of the quarantine, taking into account the recommendations of the health profession and the ordinances of the Republic of Slovenia. Testing after the end of quarantine is not required.
Even after the quarantine is over, continue to follow proper cough hygiene and continue to wash your hands frequently.
Monitor the situation in Slovenia and follow the measures and instructions of experts (competent institutions).
