About the programme

The program has two directions, namely General and Military.

Professional bachelor study programmes Marine engineering is designed to create professional, competent, and technically qualified experts in the field of mechanical engineering, with emphasis placed on theoretical knowledge and practical skills that allow the operation, management, and maintenance of marine engine and energy systems.

The study programme is based on the requirements of the 1978/1995 International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, as amended. Through the studies the graduates will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for the acquisition of the title of Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch on Ships Powered by Main Propulsion Machinery of 750 kW Propulsion Power or More, or Second Engineer Officer or Chief Engineer on Ships Powered by Main Propulsion Machinery of 3,000 kW Propulsion Power or More.

The acquired knowledge and skills include a thorough knowledge in the field of marine engineering, communication skills, a solid knowledge of English, the ability to write professional reports, and team working and problem-solving skills.
