Slovenian and EU citizens
- citizens of the Republic of Slovenia and citizens of the EU Member States and Slovenians without Slovenian citizenship,
- citizens of non-EU Member States who have their permanent residence in Slovenia and are themselves or their parents/guardians resident in the Republic of Slovenia for tax purposes until the selection procedure begins,
- citizens of non-EU Member States who have completed their secondary education in the Republic of Slovenia and passed the matriculation examination (this does not apply to persons who have completed an international secondary education in the Republic of Slovenia and who are required to undergo the procedure for recognition of foreign secondary education),
- persons with recognised international/temporary protection status and applicants for international/temporary protection who have obtained this status by the start of the selection procedure.

Candidates with a disability or special status
The decision to grant the status of a candidate with special needs and the status of a candidate with a special status in the first and second application periods of the application and admission procedure for admission to the University of Ljubljana is made by the Committee for Granting the Status of a Candidate with a Special Status in the Application and Admission Procedure for Admission to the University of Ljubljana on the basis of the individual application and the relevant supporting documents.
The application for special status or special needs status and the relevant supporting documents shall be submitted by the candidate via the eVŠ information system no later than by the deadline specified in the Admission Announcement.
