About the programme

The undergraduate dual-subject university study program in Russian Studies is designed interdisciplinary, with its fundamental aim being to provide graduates with theoretical and professional foundations for effective and systematic resolution of specific professional problems.
Graduates of the undergraduate study program in Russian Studies acquire knowledge and language, cultural, and literary competences that they can apply in the job market, while also enabling further education. Through the program, graduates gain the ability of articulate written and oral expression in the Russian and Slovenian languages within the context of everyday conversation, the ability to respond appropriately in a Russian-speaking social and cultural environment, and the ability to recognize differences and similarities between the Russian and domestic cultural and social systems.
Graduates are capable of recognizing and understanding the specificities of literary texts and acquire knowledge that enables intercultural dialogue. Within the framework of the study, they become acquainted with historical, linguistic, and cultural circumstances that influence the hermeneutic distinctiveness of Russian literature for the Slovenian reader.
