Academic calendar

APPLICATION DEADLINES FOR EXCHANGE STUDENTS

15 May for the winter semester/full academic year 
15 November for the summer semester

In the Republic of Slovenia, academic year starts on 1 October and ends on 30 September. Every year, the study calendar specifies the duration of organised study activities, examination periods, school holidays, public holidays and of the university week. The academic calendar may differ from one University member to another. Please check the website of a particular University member (academy/faculty) for details.

  • Semester 1/winter semester: 2 October 2023 – 19 January 2024
  • Winter Examination period: 22 January 2024 - 16 February 2024
  • Semester 2/summer semester: 19 February 2024 – 31 May 2024
  • Summer Examination period: 3 June 2024 – 28 June 2024
  • Autumn Examination period: 19 August 2024 – 13 September 2024
  • Lectures free period: 31 October 2023; 1 November 2023; 25 December 2023 to 2 January 2024; 1 April 2024; 1, 2 and 3 May 2024
