IT services

UNIVERSITY OF LJUBLJANA INFORMATION SERVICES

You are issued with ID Student number and Digital Identity (UL-ID) once you become a University of Ljubljana student.

As a student of the University of Ljubljana you get multiple benefits as you receive licences for programmes you will need during your study (this includes Office365, Adobe, unlimited Drive storage, etc).

Your digital ID-UL gives you access to the following services:

  • EDUROAM: Access to the wireless internet at the University of Ljubljana and roaming in the internets of other institutions within the Eduroam system. More information on: www.eduroam.si. 
  • UNIVERSITY E-MAIL AND SERVICES -  
    Reliable, safe and students' friendly services: e-mail, calendar, documents…
     
  • Microsoft Azure Dev Tools for TeachingStudents of the University of Ljubljana can use free of charge Microsoft development tools and software for servers only as standard version.
  • ONLINE OFFICE 365 SERVICES: are available free of charge for full-time and part-time students enrolled in the University of Ljubljana. To use such services, students have to agree with Microsoft Service Agreement. Transfer the service here. To log in, please use your digital identity.

    You can access Arnes services with your digital identity of the University of Ljubljana: www.arnes.si/en.

    All these information services are supported by the University Informatics Office.

INTERNET ACCESS

To connect to the wireless Internet access through Eduroam system, simply select the network and enter your student username and password (the same username found on your ID card).

Downtown Ljubljana is covered with access points to the WiFreeLjubljana wireless broadband network, providing 60 minutes of free access per day with a modern portable communication device (laptop, smart mobile phone, tablet, PDA, etc.).

Most hotels offer their guests wireless Internet access also, mostly free of charge. Furthermore, free Internet access is available in many cafés and pubs in Ljubljana.
