7th Faculty to Faculty Run
We are delighted to announce the 7th Faculty to Faculty Run, which traditionally features University of Ljubljana students, staff and alumni. The event will take place on 7 April 2026 and involve running at a relaxed, recreational pace along one of three routes, each of which visits a different number of faculties and academies (5, 10 or 15).

CENSE Training School on 'People and Nature (lack of) Connectedness
The summer school organized by CENSE, Center for Research on the Environment and Sustainable Research, is dedicated to exchange, collaborative knowledge creation, training in creative skills, and networking, with the aim of strengthening our capacity to address urgent global and local challenges. The application deadline is April 10; the summer school will take place from July 26 to 31.

Venice Summer School in Digital and Public Humanities
The Venice Summer School in Digital and Public Humanities at Ca'Foscari University in Venice, partner within EUTOPIA Alliance, provides advanced and in-depth training in theories, technologies and methods applied to historical monuments, artefacts and texts. Focussing on cultural, archaeological, historical, literary, and artistic materials from Venetian sites and cultural heritage institutions, participants will engage in debates about digital cultural heritage and public humanities while enhancing their competences and skills in digitising materials and sources and in modelling, analysing and visualising multimedia humanities data. Deadline for application April 13, 2026. Summer school will be held between July 6 and 10.

International Research Culture Consortium Workshop
The University of Warwick (United Kingdom), Monash University (Australia), and Stellenbosch University (South Africa)—with which the University of Ljubljana collaborates within the EUTOPIA Alliance—are organiziring a second workshop of the International Consortium on Research Culture. The aim of the workshop is to deepen the shared understanding of research culture in various institutional, national, and regional contexts. This workshop, jointly organized by Monash University Australia and Monash University Malaysia, will focus on the role of research culture in Southeast Asia and comparative perspectives from South Asia, Africa, and the Pacific. The workshop is free of charge; registration is required by April 19.

Summer School on EU Policy Making
Vrije University Brussels and NOVA University Lisbon, partners in the EUTOPIA Alliance, are organizing an intensive two-week summer school on policy-making at the European Union (EU) level. It enables students to explore both the EU’s political heartland and its global perspective. The summer school focuses on the external dimensions of EU policymaking, covering trade, development, technology, and sustainability within the context of the EU’s role as a responsible global leader. The summer school will take place from June 29 to July 10. The application deadline is April 26.

Summer School Digital Health at the Crossroads: Balancing Progress and Individual Rights
Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Technical University Dresden, partners within the EUTOPIA Alliance, are organizing a summer school on health and digital tools. The digital transformation of healthcare opens up extraordinary opportunities for economic growth and scientific progress, while also raising urgent questions about how to protect individual rights and the public interest. EUTOPIA training for the EUCI Internationalization Certificate 2026
The EUTOPIA Certificate of Internationalisation (EUCI) encourages, recognises, and rewards students' international learning. To obtain the certificate in this academy year, students must attend one of two sets of lectures, provide evidence of at least 30 hours of varied international activities and prepare a portfolio of their work. You can register for the training, which is organized in two terms, until May 1, 2026.

Virtual workshop Transformative Assessment for Integrating Sustainability
While efforts to integrate sustainability into teaching practices have grown, there remains a tendency for the assessment of sustainability competencies to be less prioritized. This workshop aims to bridge that gap by exploring how assessment modalities can be transformed to better align with sustainability goals. Workshop participants will discuss the challenges and opportunities of assessing sustainability competencies through various methods. Through collaborative discussions and practical exercises, participants will gain insights into reimagining assessment practices to assess students' sustainability competencies. The workshop is organized by University of Gothenburg, partner within EUTOPIA MORE project.

CY Cergy Paris University, a partner university within the EUTOPIA Alliance, is organizing a summer school this year on the topic of digital media and the use of chatbots in research. The summer school is intended for master’s students, doctoral students, and researchers in the humanities and social sciences who are engaged in research on the digital space. The summer school will take place from June 15 to 19. Applications are being accepted until May 15.
