Five years since the start of the European Universities initiative, the Universities alliances have demonstrated their transformational potential. The alliances are offering a stable framework for unprecedented long-term strategic institutional-level cooperation. As a result, partnering higher education institutions and alliances see an increase in their competitiveness, attractiveness for global talent and increased visibility. During this high-level meeting, participants will reflect on the achievements of the European Universities initiative, address the remaining challenges, and identify the avenues to continue making this initiative a long-term success.
