International virtual conference Universities as Age-Friendly Spaces: Teaching Experiences in European Age-Friendly Universities

The conference will provide an opportunity for in-depth discussions and networking between professors, faculty and coordinators from different Age-Friendly Universities (AFHUs) across Europe. Together we will explore different perspectives on the concept, share valuable experiences and practises, and highlight the challenges and opportunities of educating older adults. We will pay special attention to didactic approaches that promote the active participation and involvement of older students in the educational process.
International virtual conference "Universities as Age-Friendly Spaces: Teaching Experiences in European Age-Friendly Universities" will take place online (Zoom) on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 12pm to 16pm (CET).
Renowned experts will share their insights and experiences:
- Dr. Christine O'Kelly, Coordinator of Age Friendly Dublin City University,
- Assistant Professor Dr. Lucie Vidovićova, Chair of the Research Institute Committee on Ageing (International Sociological Association),
- Zala Simčič, Head of the Alumni Club Network of the University of Ljubljana,
- Prof. Dr. Meta Lah, Professor of French at the Faculty of active wisdom UL,
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mojca Leskovec, Professor of German at the Faculty of active wisdom UL,
- Mary McCarthy, facilitator at Age Friendly University Dublin City University,
- Assoc. Prof. dr. Miloslav Zejda, U3A educator at Masaryk University
- Assoc. Prof. dr. Alenka Kavčič, Coordinator of the student ICT Consultancy Network.
