Advancing Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) through the SDG Impact Assessment Tool
Event date: to
Event location: ZOOM
University of Gothenburg, partner university with EUTOPIA Alliance, invites you to a digital workshop focused on integrating Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) into academic practice. The workshop centers on the SDG Impact Assessment Tool-a free, online learning tool that enables educators, students, and institutions to assess and reflect on how educational and other activities align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This is the second in a series of ESD-focused workshops, aiming to enhance our shared capacity to embed sustainability thinking into curriculum development, course activities, and broader pedagogical practices. By using the SDG Impact Assessment Tool, educators (and other sustainability actors) can guide students in hands-on workshops, critically evaluating various activities, organizations or innovations from the perspective of Agenda 2030 and the SDGs. In addition, the tool can help educators to evaluate how their teaching and learning initiatives contribute to-or challenge-various dimensions of sustainable development.
Workshop will be held digitally via Zoom (the link is available here).
Workshop will be led by dr. Martin Eriksson. We recommend creating a free account for the SDG Impact Assessment Tool in advance (available on the link).
More information about the workshop is available on the website of University of Gothenburg (available on the link).
