Freshers will be welcomed on stage by the UL Rector Prof. Dr Gregor Majdič, the representative of the Student Council of the University of Ljubljana (ŠS UL) Maksim Miklič, and a representative of the City of Ljubljana. They will be joined by the deans of the 23 faculties and three academies of the University of Ljubljana – the oldest, largest and most successful higher education and scientific research institution in Slovenia.

At Congress Square, freshers will have the opportunity to learn about the activities of individual student councils of the UL member institutions, while the UL will present the extracurricular and credit-earning (sports) activities, cultural and artistic opportunities, and research initiatives available to students. Student organisations and associations that organise a variety of extracurricular activities across the capital will also be showcased. A full list of participating organisations, clubs and associations will be published at a later date.

About the performers

Jet Black Diamonds consists of five young men from the upper Vipava Valley, united by their energy and love for creating original music. Stylistically versatile, they navigate multiple musical genres, though they are most often drawn to contemporary derivatives of rock ’n’ roll, with songs such as “Retro Anorak”, “Vlak”, “Večvredne romance”, and “Pridni fantje”. The band members are the drummer Maks Rozman, bassist Jernej Žavbi, keyboardist Matija Krigl, guitarist Domen Lemut, and lead vocalist/guitarist Urban Koritnik.

In 2025, Koala Voice will celebrate both their 15th anniversary and the 10th anniversary of their debut album Kangaroo’s a Neighbour. On stage, they will perform a selection from all five of their studio albums, including their latest, Auf Wiedersehen. In addition to their powerful stage presence and catchy guitar riffs, those in the audience can expect new songs blending indie rock, punk pop, and disco. The band members are Domen ‘Don’ Holc, Manca Trampuš, Miha Prašnikar and Tilen Prašnikar.
