Networking event for doctoral students

The Doctoral School of the University of Ljubljana cordially invites doctoral students to join the networking event Connect to create and collaborate. The aim of the event is to hear your thoughts and ideas that will help drive doctoral students' community forward.
This gathering offers a valuable opportunity to share and connect with your peers, to expand your social and academic networks, and to engage and discuss questions relevant to your study experience, research work and career.
The first part of the event features keynote talks by the current and former presidents of the University of Ljubljana Global Alumni and Associates Network (SMUL) Dr. Mihaela Pavličev (University of Vienna) and Dr. Alenka Čopič (CNRS, Montpellier Cell Biology Research Center and University of Montpellier) as well as a presentation of networking opportunities. The second part includes a workshop and group discussions, followed by an informal networking hour.
The application is open to all students enrolled in a doctoral program at the University of Ljubljana, however, with limited places available.
To apply, please fill in and submit this form by 3 October 2025 at the latest. The collected information will be used exclusively for the purposes of organizing the event.
Given the limited number of participants, please note that in case of more registrations than places available, selection will be made to ensure interdisciplinary representation of study programs.
Please kindly note that the event will be held in English. Please also be aware that the event will be photographed. Photographs will be published on the University of Ljubljana and the Young Academy of Slovenia websites and social media channels.
